Electricity
Bhilwara receives electricity from Kota, Beawar, Rana Pratap Sagar and Nimbahera.
All the 1,565 villages have been electrified.
Water
The main rivers in the district are Banas, Beduch, Kothari, Khari, Menaali, Unli
and Meaj. The water table in the district is comparatively high between 10 to 20
meters. The district has about 86,600 wells and 56 tube-wells, providing drinking
water and irrigation facilities. Ground water in the district is fresh and generally
considered as potable although the concentration in fluoride is regularly above
normal, and can cause fluorosis.
Transport
Road Transport
The city is connected by National Highway No. 79 through Jaipur, Ajmer and Udaipur,
which makes the major cities accessible. The four lane highway is part of golden
quadrilateral highway project of India and connects Bhilwara with major cities.
Another National No. 76 part of the East West Corridor (Four Lane) passes through
the district. The total length of both section is 120 km. South State Highway (Jaipur-Udaipur)
passes through the district.
Rail Transport
A broad gauge railway line connects Ajmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Delhi, Bharatpur, Agra,
Gwalior, Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabab, Patna, Kolkata, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Ratlam,
Vadodara, Surat, and Mumbai passes through the district.

Major Crops
Maize, Wheat, Barley(jo), Til, Urad, Moong, Jeera,Gram, Groundnut, Rai, Mustard
& Cotton are major crops of Bhilwara District.Kharif sowing is done at the begining
of the monsoon which normally reaches Bhilwara in the last week of June. Kharif
crops constitute bulk of the food production in the district as the agricultural
activities are mostly dependent on Monsoons. Kharif crops include urad, maize, moong,
groundnut etc.. Rabi crops are usually sown in November.
Education
District Bhilwara has a well-developed Education structure. Department of Education,Government
of Rajasthan is responsible for primary,Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
To achieve the goal of literacy in rajasthan government has a very strong network
of schools. The schools are divided in three categories to provide education at
various stages. The division is as follows: 1.Primary Education 2.Secondary Education
3.Higher Secondary Education.
To reach the education to the masses the government has further given recognition
to various private institutes to provide education to the children.Beside this Govt.
is also running Rajiv Gandhi Pathashala (School) Scheme,to provide primary education
to the rural children.
Various schemes are going on to improve the status of the education in the destrict
: - Shiksha Aapke Dwar (Education at your door) District Primary Education Program
(DPEP) Ghummakad Vidyalaya Shiksha Mitra Yojna.
To impart higher College education,there are six colleges in the district and one
Engineering college: Manikya Lal Verma Textile College, Bhilwara Manikya Lal Verma
Goverment College, Bhilwara Seth Muralidhar Maansinghka Government Girls College,
Bhilwara.
Beside this there are colleges at Shahpura, gangapur, Gulabpura and Mandalgarh.
Besides ,there are school run By CBSE.They are: Central School, Bhilwara Central
School, Hurda Navodaya Vidhyalaya, Hurda.
